WEDDINGS:   Vogel-Albrecht

Alissa Diane Vogel of Marion and Ryan Blake Albrecht of Herington were married July 3 at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, Marion with the Rev. Michael Eurit officiating.

Parents of the couple are Randy and Carol Vogel of Marion and Redge and Terri Albrecht of Herington.

Grandparents of the couple are Erano and Dorothy Albrecht of Lincolnville, the late Clifford and Lura Geske, Dwain and Phyliss Gill of Sylvia, and the late James and Maxine Vogel.

Chelsea Lewis of Wichita, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. The bride’s attendants were Brigitte Brecheisen, Liz Johnston, and Bailey Hedstrom, friends of the bride. Personal attendants were Samantha Hett and Michelle Miesse, friends of the bride.

John Albrecht of Manhattan, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Albrecht, brother of the groom, and Brett Crask and Brady Hedstrom, friends of the groom.

Flower girl was Megan Jones, niece of the groom. Ring bearer was Aidan Jones, nephew of the groom.

Candle lighters were Jamie Ball and Melissa Slack, friends of the bride.

Ushers were Alan Vogel and Eric Vogel, brothers of the bride, Aaron Blush, Brandon Schwabauer, and Paul Wicoff, friends of the groom.

Anita Brookens, a friend of the couple, was the pianist and organist. The groom, accompanied on the piano by Christine Albrecht, sister-in-law of the groom, provided special music.

Guest book attendants were Paul and Sara Bruss, friends of the couple. Program attendants were Becky Moore and Sarah Beck, friends of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Eastmoor’s Wesley Family Center. Reception attendants were Ashley Vogel, sister-in-law of the bride, Christine Albrecht, sister-in-law of the groom, and Jeana Jones, sister of the groom. A fireworks display followed the reception.

A rehearsal dinner was held at the church with catering provided by Marissa Makovec.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Marion High School and a 2008 graduate of Kansas State University, with a bachelor’s degree in political science and geography. She is employed as concierge/special events coordinator of Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community, Manhattan.

Her husband is a 2005 graduate of Chapman High School. He is a senior at Kansas State University, completing his degree in architectural engineering and construction science.

The couple honeymooned in the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas area. They live in Manhattan.
