Marion Senior Center had many volunteers Nov. 14 to help sack food commodities that were delivered. Volunteers were directed by Shirley Moore and included Sue Clough, Vern Bowers, Jerry Nelson, Jerry Kline, Ronda Brenzikofer, Harold Triggs, and Stuart and Virginia Hammond. Forty boxes were prepared and distributed Nov. 15.
Center patrons celebrated Mickey Mouse’s birthday Nov. 18. Several wore Mickey Mouse shirts including Marlene Bernhardt, Estelle McCarty, Connie Fisher, Shirley Bowers, and Janet Bryant. The Mickey Mouse Club song was sang. Marilyn Geis also celebrated her birthday Nov. 18, and brought treats to share.
Senior Center Day was Nov. 20. Sue Clough conducted the business meeting and shared two of her own paintings. Mark Wilcox gave a program on how to build a violin and then played for center patrons.
Rex Savage, who’s previous program had been postponed, will give a program on wind power Dec. 4.
