Eric and Kerri Schlef of Wellsville announce the birth of a son, Walter Alan Schlef, March 17, 2009.

He weighed 7 pounds 15.9 ounces and was 21 inches long.

Grandparents are Alan and Cindy Mueller of Assaria and Fred and Doris Schlef of O’Fallon, Mo.

Great-grandparents are Marguerite Jirak of Lincolnville and the late Marion Allen Jirak, Maxine Mueller of Tampa and the late Werner (Bing) Mueller, and Melba Boeschen of Concordia, Mo., and the late Walter Boeschen.
