Warriors run like the wind, despite the wind
Although conditions were not ideal for runners at the Marion’s home cross-country meet, weather did not stop the team from running well.
Timothy Knolla and McKenzee Remmers both medaled while six other Marion runners improved personal records for the season.
“Everyone else ran well too,” coach Rebecca Hofer said. “But the wind and some sickness from earlier in the week slowed down our times.”
The high school boys’ 5K results were: Timothy Knolla, 10th, 19:46; Jared Hague, 23rd, 21:24; Quinton Hett, 30th, 22:02; Seth Savage, 51st, 24:47; and Taylor Fahey, 44th, 23:38.
The high school girls’ 4K results were: McKenzee Remmers, 13th, 17:50; Brittany Hett, 53rd, 22:18; Kaylie Waner, 41st, 20.42; and Shyla Harris, 49th, 21.32.
The next meet will be Thursday at Halstead.
