Waymon B. Pelfrey, 90, of Peabody, died May 5 at Legacy Park, Peabody.

Born Sept 2, 1919, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to Charles and Lennie (Giddens) Pelfrey, he grew up in the Chattanooga area, later moving to Kansas City, Mo. He was a retired machinist.

He moved to Legacy Park in November 2009.

His wife, Donna; parents; and a brother, Arville preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, Winston of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Patricia Mellott of Peabody; two grandchildren; and a step-granddaughter.

Graveside services were Monday morning at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, with the Rev. James Pohlman officiating.
