Weldon “Leo” Blackman
Weldon “Leo” Blackman, 75, died March 2 at Newton Medical Center in Newton.
He was born Dec. 26, 1939, to Charles and Claudia (Rayburn) Blackman in Riverside, Texas.
He was a sales representative for Western Associates. On June 20, 1959, he married Peggy J. Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kelly Blackman; and brothers, Charles and Randolph.
He is survived by his wife Peggy; his daughter, Kay Tajchman of Marion; a son, Chris Blackman of Harvey, North Dakota; a sister, Alyce Fulgham of Huntsville, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were Friday at Marion Christian Church. A private family committal service was in Marion Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established for the St. Luke Hospital Foundation.
