We write notes. Each night we are together we write a note to each member of the family after dinner with the beginning, what I admire, what you will always remember, I love you because, and ect. We put the notes in each ones socks and then Christmas morning we read them and sometimes share them. Some notes are funny but many are usually what you’d expect, lovely and sentimental and I usually cry at least twice.
— Jackie Volbrecht
We used to always drive around the county lake and look at the lights. Now that the kids are grown and out, I’m just glad they come home for Christmas.
