The family of Mary Ann Wiens celebrated Christmas on Dec. 26 with a dinner at Eastmoor United Methodist Church parish hall in Marion.

The dinner included traditional Christmas ham with homemade horseradish, pluma moos, and steamed date pudding.

Present were Mary Ann Wiens, Gerald and Jan Wiens, Jim and Joni Crofoot, Lindsey Richmond, Don and Janice Hodson, Jerry and Loreen, Elliot, Isaac, and Eli Hett, and Jennifer, Emily, Jack, and Ben Schneider, all of Marion; Herb and Pat Bartel of Hillsboro; Diann Cline of Smolan; Matt Cline of Lindsborg; Kevin and Lorraine, Alyssa, Kyle, and Macy McGahee and Dustin and Peggy, Carter, and Maura Wiens of Shawnee; Stan and Denise Hett of Wichita; Sarah, Ryker, and Ellie Voss of Mico, Texas; Andy Crofoot and Nikki Needham of Asheboro, N.C., Jeff Richmond and Erica Mueller, and Noah Richmond of Lenexa.

Marvin Cline of Smolan and Heath Voss of Mico, Texas, were unable to attend.

After dinner, everyone went to the house to sing Christmas carols and wait for Santa Claus. Santa brought gifts for the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The afternoon was completed with a party to celebrate Macy McGahee’s graduation from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School.
