Willis Duerksen

Hillsboro native Willis Duerksen, 81, died Nov. 9 at Newton.

He was born April 5, 1934, to C.R. and Martha (Funk) Duerksen in Hillsboro.

Survivors include: wife, Joan Duerksen of Newton; sons, Noel of Hillsdale Lake, and Richard of Newton; daughters, Nona Mason of Goodland, and Martha Hopkins of Newton; brothers, Harlan of Newton, and Gerald of Dallas, Texas; Irma Groening of Hillsboro; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were Thursday at Grace Community Church in Newton. Interment was in Gnadenau Cemetery, Hillsboro.

Memorials are requested for Mennonite Central Committee.
