On Friday, a World Day of Prayer will be observed around the world. The day is an annual worldwide ecumenical movement of Christian women who come together for prayer on the first Friday in March.

Each year women of a selected country write the worship service. For 2012, the women of Malaysia developed the theme “Let Justice Prevail!” A clear message emerges from their writing — it takes courage, compassion, and active engagement for justice to prevail.

The public is invited to come together for another Peabody observance of this worldwide event at 12:15 p.m. Friday at Peabody Senior Center.
