The second annual Chingawassa Days celebration officially begins Friday with events continuing through Sunday.

About 60 Marion Girl Scouts spent the past week at Marion County Lake. Activities at the annual day camp included swimming, canoeing, lashing, cooking, and archery. More than 30 volunteers, led by camp director Linda Carlson, supervised. And some former scouts who are now college students came back to supervise the older girls.
