The following clipping from yesterday's Topeka Capital will be of interest here where everybody knows Geo. Donaldson: "Emporia, April 2 — Swallowing a pin is not nearly as hard a proposition as getting rid of it, according to George Donaldson, of Santa Fe, a small town near Great Bend. Donaldson was an Emporia visitor yesterday. He had been feeling bad for several days and consulted several doctors but without success. No one seemed to know what was wrong with him and he began to grow worse. Yesterday evening he noticed a burning and pricking sensation in the region of his stomach and took an emetic. A few minutes later he coughed up a common pin which seemed none the worse for wear. Mr. Donaldson doesn't know how he came to swallow a pin but was glad to get rid of it. He left for his home in Santa Fe last night."
