VFW Post Commander Dan Holub greeted Governor Joan Finney when she arrived at Central Park Wednesday evening. An appreciative crowd of about 50 people was on hand to hear the governor's remarks. Finney recognized the efforts of veterans in the audience. She is finishing her term as governor, and told about the accomplishments of her administration.

Jeff and Kelly Henry and their two-year-old son Oliver have moved to Marion from Wichita. Henry is a family practice physician at St. Luke Medical Clinic. He chose Marion because of the quality of staff and medical facilities, and the friendliness of the people.

State Farm Insurance agent Becky Walsh has been appointed agent in Marion, filling the vacancy left by the death of the late Dean Pippin. She also operates the State Farm Insurance office in Hillsboro.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Costello hosted a family dinner at the Clover Cliff Ranch the evening of July 25. Those attending were Ed's sisters and brother, children of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Costello, their families, and other guests.

Descendants of Charles Bredemeier gathered in Silver Creek, Colo., over the July 22 weekend for their second triennial reunion. Fifty relatives and guests enjoyed family activities and recreation during the three days.

Harlow and Edith Warneke of Marion, who were married Aug 10, 1964, in El Dorado, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 14 at an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. in Our Savior Lutheran Church, Marion. The event will be hosted by their three daughters.
