Federal law enforcement authorities are requesting information to assist them in locating a red, two-wheel trailer, and the possible source of a quantity of 55 barrel plastic barrels. These items may have been used by people responsible for the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Okla.

The stone arch bridge southwest of Marion was removed Monday by Marion County road and bridge crews. Research indicated the bridge may have been built by Fred Lewis, an architect and engineer who raised many historic structures in Kansas in the years following the Civil War.

Two more listings from Marion County have been added to the National Register of Historic Places. They are the Santa Fe Trail segments near Durham and the Island Field Ranch farmstead near Antelope.

More recognition has come to Jeff Peterson, son of Dan and Linda Peterson, who live east of Lincolnville on the Burdick route. Peterson, who is student body president of Kansas State University, has been elected chairman of the Student's Advisory Committee to the Kansas Board of Regents.

Joe and JoAnn Nowak and Bob and Helen Spachek returned Thursday evening from a 12-day tour of the Holy Land and Rome.

Christopher Hett, a 1991 graduate of Marion High School, was initiated as a member of the 1995 Order of Omega at the 1998 Greek Convocation at Wichita State University. He is the son of Rocky and Shirley Jo Hett of Marion.
