Marion City commissioners made a decision on the Cooperative Grain and Supply anhydrous ammonia storage tanks Monday, as promised. The city will require CGS to guarantee that no deliveries will be made at night. The co-op is to build, at their own expense, a high volume water hydrant at the storage tanks and it was also stipulated that only authorized and properly trained personnel of CGS must be on hand at all times while ammonia is being loaded or unloaded at the storage tanks.

State Senator John Crofoot of Cedar Point is one of six state senators invited to participate as task force members at the second annual national "Partner in Progress" national conference for state officials and small business leaders.

Lt. Col. Laura Jane Bredemeier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herb Bredemeier of Marion, has received her second Meritorious Service Medal from the U.S. Army. The award was presented for outstanding service as an operating room nurse, clinical head nurse in the emergency room, assistant chief nurse during evening and nights and chief of the central materials service to the Department of Nursing at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center, Aurora, Colo., from 1978 to 1980.

Evelyn Ollenberger was guest of honor Thursday evening at a dinner at WheatStone Inn. Mrs. Ollenberger has retired from Case & Son Insurance Agency after working there 49 years and four months. Others present were Albert Ollenberger, Mr. and Mrs. Alex H. Case, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Case Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Rosse Case.
