Two Nationalist Chinese girls, Grace Chen and Rens Su, enjoyed their first snowball fight Monday in front of the Record office, with their Marion County friends and hosts, Edith and Norma Frick, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Frick east of Durham.

Anita Schlehuber is spending the mid-semester break with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Schlehuber. Anita is a music major at Emporia State Teachers College and a member of the college's women's choir which will go on tour in April and visit towns in southeastern Kansas.

The Marion Warriors basketball team traveled to Salina Wednesday night and swamped host Sacred Heart, 49-39. Big George Jackson led the team with 21 points, Bryan Alexander 7, Bob Elling 3, Norman Alexander 1, Dave Goertz 9, and Blair Post 8.

Katherine Swan of Marion received $100 at the weekly Cash Days drawing on Wednesday. Ardella Gray of Peabody missed $15, Mrs. Ivan L. Winter of Marion missed $15, Kenneth D. Nienstedt, Marion, missed $40, and Frank Layton of Marion missed $5.

Durham High School celebrated its annual homecoming Friday night. Homecoming queen was Sherry Becker. Leonard Frantz was the king. Attendants were Shirley McDowell, Kathy Miller, Robert Frantz, and Alvin Hett. Little king and queen were Kim Weibert and Warren Nuss. The Hornets made the evening a huge success by defeating the Canton Tigers.

Mr. and Mrs. Delton Richmond entertained Jan. 22 in honor of their little daughter Lisa's first birthday.
