Anhydrous ammonia storage tanks at Cooperative Grain and Supply in Marion have been a cause for concern by residents in the area. They have asked the city to take steps to guarantee their safety. A public meeting will be held on the subject Sept. 19 in the city building.

Announcement was made this week by Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Post that they have sold Kingfisher's Inn at Marion County Park and Lake to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sprowls of Wichita. The Sprowls will take over operation of the popular restaurant on Nov 1.

Lori Reznicek, Lost Springs, was awarded a special $1,000 scholarship from Lutheran Hospitals and Homes Society, Fargo, N.D., at the St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary's 10th annual anniversary celebration Thursday night. Reznicek also received the auxiliary's James Wheeler Scholarship for $300. Patti Fruechting, Marion, received the auxiliary's other $300 scholarship. The awards are presented to students in the health care field as an aid in their education.

Lori Kelsey and Kevin Fruechting exchanged double ring wedding vows in a ceremony Aug. 19 in the Marion Christian Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger W. Hannaford hosted a dinner at their home Sunday following the baptism of their grandson, Adam Michael Thomas, son of Mike and Gayle Thomas.

A thunderstorm which crossed Marion County Monday evening caused extensive damage to property in the town of Aulne.
