The Marion County Planning and Development Commission met Thursday to reorganize and add more members to the group. Members include Vernon Deines, Ramona; Dorman Becker, Durham; J.C. Ehrlich, A.J. Coe, Roger Hannaford and Herb Wullschleger of Marion; Bennie Koop, Franklin Harms, Bill Boothe and Leon Suderman of Hillsboro; Hartman Baker, Peabody; and J.L. Fruechting, Aulne.

Coach Dave Deutschendorf's basketball team is in the unenviable position of being tabbed for last place in the opening rounds of the first annual Warrior Classic invitational tournament Friday and Saturday in Marion. The host Warriors have a disappointing 1-8 record. Team members are Gary Friesen, Randy Conyers, Joe Endres, Frank Schambron, Daryl Enos, Doug Hague, Danny Heim, Chris Costello, Jim Magathan, Bill Finke, Sid Robinson and Joey Ragole.

Mr. and Mrs. Harlow Warneke left Kansas City by plane last Wednesday morning for a trip to Jamaica. The Warnekes won the trip from Carrier Heating and Air Conditioning Company.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Holub and family have had word that their three sons, Danny, Terry and Frankie, who are in the Navy, have left Vietnam and have spent a week in the Philippines for a rest period.

Larry Fyr, music director at Centre has announced the following cast members for the spring musical, "Bells Are Ringing": Susie Klenda, Janice Meirowsky, Jacintha Konecny, Keith Collett, Alan Henke, Kevin Bailey, Clay Brown, Kent Brown, Jerry Nelson, Blaine Stinchcomb, Garth Strand, Jonie Deines, Fred Schubert, Gary Holub, Vickie Steinert, Mark Moffitt, Kathy Mueller, Alan Cott, Candice Peterson, Howard Hailey, Steve Hailey, Steve Lueth, Melony Beneke, Rhonda Swinney and Doug Mueller.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hett returned last Wednesday after visiting their daughter Michelle Stafford in Los Angeles, Calif. They spent a few days in Hawaii visiting the usual tourist attractions in and around Honolulu and enjoyed the Hulu Bowl football game.

The senior high youth group of Valley Untied Methodist Church enjoyed an ice skating party Sunday afternoon. Afterward, they went to the LeRoy Dreier home for refreshments and enjoyed group singing led by Ken and Joanne Forsyth.
