The Kansas 99'ers, a national ladies aviation organization, has indicated that members will fly in to the Marion Municipal Airport on June 10 to paint airport designations on the top of hangars there.

Seven Future Farmers of America students from Marion High School enjoyed a tour and luncheon at Hesston Corporation on May 10. Those going on the trip were Henry Bingaman, Joe Endres, Doug Marler, Louis Wegerer, Frank Pecinovsky, Neal Hanes and Doug Regier. They were accompanied by their instructor, Larry Goering.

Rev. Robert Priest will fill the pulpits at Eastmoor and Youngtown United Methodist churches starting the first week in June. He will succeed Rev. G. Carol Gilbert, who is moving to Arizona to work in the mission field.

Leonard M. Holub, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard J. Holub, Marion, has been promoted to staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. Sergeant Holub, a medical specialist at McConnell AFB, Wichita, serves with a unit of the Tactical Air Command which provides combat units for air support of U.S. ground forces.

William L. Winkley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Winkley of Marion, has filed for the office of county attorney in Dickinson County. Winkley is an attorney at Abilene and at the present time is assistant county attorney.

David McGinness of Marion was one of 15 track lettermen at Tabor College this spring. Dave runs the open quarter and is on several relay teams.

A modern emergency room table was installed at St. Luke Hospital recently as a memorial to the late Dr. G.J. Goodsheller, pioneer Marion physician.

Bob Hett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hett of Marion, was named the "Outstanding Junior High Athlete of the Year" by the Florence Junior High letterman's club last week at the end of school. Bob will be a sophomore at Marion High School next fall.

Marion attorneys Dean C. Batt, Roger H. Morse and D.W. Wheeler attended the 90th annual Kansas Bar Association meeting in Wichita May 17-19.
