Reynolds Metals Company this week announced that it is planning to build a mobile home service center in Marion County to be located in the new industrial park area at the east edge of Hillsboro. Construction will begin shortly with a tentative completion date set for February 1971.

Although the exact cause is not known, it is presumed that lightning was responsible for burning down a barn and a haystack at two different places in Marion County early Tuesday morning. The barn, situated west of Florence, belonged to Paul Epp of Walton. The haystack was at the Richard McClure place near Peabody.

Births announced in this week's issue include the following: a son, Lance Allen, to Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Deines of San Diego, Calif.; A son, William Edward, to Mr. and Mrs. Marcel Benda of rural Marion; and a son, John Francis, to Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Stika, Route 1, Marion.

Grand Champion Poland China boar at the Kansas State Fair this year was exhibited by Edwin Sklenar and Sons of Tampa. They also exhibited one second, two thirds, two fourths, and two sixth place pigs.

Donahue Manufacturing Co., Inc., exhibited their products at the Farm Progress Show held this year at Rolling Prairie, Ind. This is the fourth year Donahue has exhibited at the show. James Donahue, Wendell Dirks and Terry Kerbs supervised the exhibit.

Mrs. Dean Batt presented the program Monday evening at a meeting of Neo Century Club at the home of Mrs. Steve Jost. She gave a very interesting talk on her recent trip to Japan and showed slides which were enjoyed by all.
