Deborra Case, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Case Jr. of Marion will have a unique opportunity to attend and participate in the "Presidential Classroom" project in Washington, D.C., from Feb. 27 through March 5. She is one of 350 selected from high schools throughout the United States, U.S. Territories, and the Department of Defense and Department of State high schools abroad.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Frans have bought the Burger Shake quick lunch and refreshment business owned by Gerry Harris and Dean Pippin. The new management will take over Feb. 1.

Mrs. Albert Ollenberger, Homer Hett, Harold Bowers, and Edmond Amick met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hatterman Friday evening to begin plans for a reunion next Old Settlers' Day of the 1931 graduating class of Marion High School.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Makovec of Lost Springs are the parents of a daughter, Robyn Renee, born Jan. 20.

Lisa Richmond took some friends home with her from school Friday to help celebrate her sixth birthday. They were Jamie Vogel, Gina Warnica, Lori Endres, and Cindy Heerey. The girls enjoyed lunch.

Winners in the annual litterbug poster contest sponsored by federated women's clubs of Marion are Carol Colburn, Christine Yenzer, Connie Moody, Sue Fruechting, LeFran McGranor, Rita Socolofsky, Terri Enos, Kathy Edmunds, Molly Ferrell, Janice Esslinger, Ron Wunsch, and Gary Boyle.
