Mr. and Mrs. Harlow Warneke attended a dealer sales meeting of the General Heating and Cooling Co., Carrier distributor, in Kansas City Friday. When they came home they were driving a brand new 1971 Chevrolet Vega panel express station wagon-type vehicle. The Warnekes were the lucky winners of the car in a drawing among dealers.

Prime beef in the making will be on display Saturday when 4-H project members will exhibit steers at the Saddle Horse Association building at the east edge of Marion Athletic Park.

The hills were alive with the popping of motors Sunday when 225 cyclists raced a double loop through Chase and Marion counties in the second annual Flint Hills Enduro. Sprockets Motorcycle Club, Wichita, was the host group.

Several Marionites have returned from an interesting trip to the Holy Land. Those who made the trip included Miss Edna Rupp, Dr. and Mrs. T.C. Ensey, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Oelschlager, Mr. and Mrs. D.H. Paul, and Rev. and Mrs. G. Carol Gilbert.

Roger "Bud" Hannaford was designated lieutenant governor-elect of Kiwanis Division V of the District of Kansas Sunday at a meeting held in Council Grove.

Pauline Ferrell, Marion High School home economics instructor, conducted a teaching session at Marion Municipal Building March 23 on selecting, using and purchasing a family's food staples. People from all parts of the county have attended the first two sessions on meal planning and nutrition.
