A $100,000 expansion program at St. Luke Hospital, in which another 25 to 30 beds will be added in a new wing to the west of the present structure, is in the planning stage, according to Sister M. Ferdinand, hospital superintendent.

Mr. and Mrs. George Heidel are the parents of a girl born Feb. 23. She weighed 7 pounds and has been named Norma Sue.

Mr. and Mrs. Lou Vinduska invited boys from the first grade at the Pilsen school to their home Sunday afternoon to help Terry celebrate his seventh birthday. Guests were Thomas Klenda, Tommy Stroda, Frank Holub, Daniel Rudolph, and Johnny Loney. Larry Rudolph was unable to be present.

Mr. and Mrs. John E. Wheeler joined their son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Mahlon Wheeler of Wichita, Sunday morning in a trip to Topeka where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Wheeler and two sons for the day.

Jeanette Russell, freshman at Phillips University in Enid, Okla., is one of five girls from her class nominated for queen. Jeanette is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lysle Russell and a graduate of Marion High School in the Class of 1956.

Results of the past week's adult basketball games show that the Christians defeated the Evans 44-31 and the Methodists won over the Presbyterian-Lutherans 45-34. Arnold Schwemmer was high for the Christians with 19, Ewert was the top scorer for the Evans with 12. High man for the Methodists was Ronnie Post with 32 and the Case Boys (Alex and Rosse) totaled 17 between them for Presby honors.
