The Wren school auction will be held July 23, and in addition to the buildings and items already there, the five tables with sinks and hardware now in use in the high school home ec department will also be offered for sale.

Twin girls, Mariana Therese and Maureen Clarice, who arrived at St. Luke Hospital July 3 not only greatly pleased their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Holub, and their three brothers and two sisters, but got special recognition from the hospital administration and staff. They will receive all hospital services free of charge. When the hospital opened, it was announced that the first set of twins to be born there would be so honored — and Mariana and Maureen are the first.

Ownership of the Peabody Gazette-Herald changed hands July 1 with Mr. and Mrs. V. Krause, from Nebraska, the new editors and publishers.

Mr. and Mrs. Max Merrill returned Friday from their trip and are now at home in the Merrill Apartments, while waiting orders from the United States Air Force.

Sybil Martin entertained with a luncheon one day last week at Topeka's Chocolate Shop, most of those invited being former Marion residents. Among those present were Mrs. Chas. Thompson, Mrs. D. Lewis, Mrs. Leslie Saylor, Mrs. Mable Remmers, Mrs. Randolph Carpenter, Mrs. Fred Martin, Mrs. Marshall Crawford, Miss Genevieve Funk, Mrs. Robert E. Prize, all of Topeka, and Mrs. Wm. Burkholder, Abilene.

The Sub Deb Club met July 1 at the home of Ginger Price with Marlys Rupp as co-hostess. The following officers were elected: Carolyn Merrill, president; Carol Jean Allen, vice president; Nila Jean Hoopes, recording secretary; Etta Mae Rempel, corresponding secretary; Rose Marie Holub, treasurer; and Ann Davies, reporter.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Turner, Newton, announce the arrival of a son, Anthony Jay, born July 4 at Bethel Hospital, Newton. He weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces.
