Three Marion girls were in the graduating class of Wesley Hospital Nurse's Training School Saturday night, August 14, at Wichita. They were Ethel Hiebert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bell; Laura Jane Bredemeier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herb Bredemeier; and Isla Mae Hiebert Richards, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Hiebert.

Announcement is made this week of a change in management at Kingfisher's Inn at the county park and lake. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bratton have taken a long term lease from Mr. and Mrs. George King.

Rev. Vincent Brown, 36, originally of Parsons, will be installed Sunday as the new pastor at St. Mark's Church. He replaces Fr. Matthew Wyse, who has gone to Wichita.

The Mack Hardware organization will be the new owners of the Badger Lumber Company in Marion if final arrangements being made today go as expected.

Steven Janzen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Janzen, celebrated his third birthday Saturday afternoon with four invited guests at a party. His birthday actually was Sunday but the party was held on Saturday. Those present were Terry Plenert, Larry Van Cleave, Gary Wiens, and Gene Hett.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger (Bud) Hannaford are expected the last of the week from Camp Lewis, Washington, where he has been separated from the army. They will go to Emporia after a brief visit here and at Peabody. Roger will attend school at Emporia State College this year.

The Merry-Go-Round school house, sold at public auction on Monday of this week went to the Tampa Rural High School. They plan to make a shop out of it, we are informed.

Thursday evening, the Aulne softball team won two games in a week to top the first division of the Church Softball League. The Baptists placed first in the second division. An all-star team, picked from various church teams, then defeated the league-leading Aulne team Monday evening by a score of 10-0.
