Prospects look good for a fine spring Hereford show this coming Saturday in Marion when the annual spring show of the Marion County Hereford Breeder's Association will be held at the Chamber of Commerce sales lot. Some of the entries in the 4-H classifications are as follows: Baby Beef, Lawrence Tajchman, Lester Tajchman, Clarence Tajchman, Rocky Hett, Donald Frick and John Schwartzman; Beef Heifers, Judith Warkentin, Janice Warkentin, Carol Louis, Gerald Duerksen and Louis Tajchman,

James R. Criswell, music director at Ellis, Kansas, has been hired to fill that position at Marion next year, according to word from Supt. Wm. Wygle. He takes over from Kenneth Swanson.

Mrs. Roger Hannaford announces the engagement of her daughter, Mary, to Robert W. Exline, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Exline Jr. of Salina. No wedding date has been set.

A family gathering Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Anderson celebrated the birthday of their little daughter, Sandra Kay, who was two years old.

Miss Sarabel Wolf, whose marriage will occur Sunday, was the honored guest at a tea and shower at the home of Mrs. Wallis Hoch Sunday afternoon. Miss Mary Gene Fey, Topeka, was assisting hostess.

Leslie Broadstreet, Marion photographer, will preside this weekend at the annual three-day convention of the Kansas Professional Photographers being held in the Baker Hotel, Hutchinson. Broadstreet has been president of the association for the past year.
