Members of the MHS Class of 1945 held their first reunion here Sunday with 37 of the graduates coming to swap reminiscences. With wives, husbands and families, the group numbered more than 100. A potluck dinner was enjoyed at noon Sunday.

If present plans materialize the Teen Town will be located in the store space in the Case Building until recently occupied by the Maytag agency. The group has received an option on the location.

The men's chorus of the Strassburg Baptist Church left for Waco, Texas, last Wednesday evening by chartered bus. They appeared on the program of their general conference held in Waco Last week. Roy Vogel is director of the chorus and Mrs. Jonah Seifert their accompanist. Members include Paul Vogel, Jonah Seifert, Dennis Seifert, Richard Vogel, Milton Stenzel, Herman Schlotthauer, Wilbur Hett, Jon Thole, Ezra Schimpf, James Socolofsky, Larry Schlehuber, Dwight Kruse, Ezra Bernhardt, Harvey Kruse, Roland Stenzel, Jake Stenzel, Howard Stenzel and Rev. L.B. Hinz.

Sue and Bess Haizlip invited friends to a hamburger fry and slumber party Friday evening in celebration of their birthdays. Those present included Colleen Allen, Linda Klein, Donna Kelsey, Jan Rathert, Ruth Muck, Irma Kennedy and Mary Lou Schmidt.

Mrs. Fred Lewis, who was the last remaining member of the Shreve family, one of the original three families who settled on the present site of Marion in 1866, died June 10 in Santa Ana, Calif., at the age of 97.
