Announcement is made this week of the purchase of the business and chiropractic equipment of Drs. P.N. and Grace Hanson by Dr. Lula Stevenson of Wichita. Dr. Stevenson will continue to operate the business at the same location.

Forty Marion residents representing all the organizations of the community me in the city building Tuesday to plan the Cleanup, Paint-up, Fix-up week to be observed here May 3 to 15.

Memorial services were held Sunday afternoon at the Presbyterian church for Ed Hannaford, 85, who had been in active in the abstract business in Marion continuously for more than 60 years prior to his retirement four years ago.

Claire Hyde, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hyde, was crowned queen and Dennis Richards, son of Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Richards, was named king Saturday night at the Junior High School athletic banquet. Attendants to the king and queen were Mary Margaret Hannaford and Billy McKibbin of the eighth grade; Shirley Tiemeier and Jack Lais, seventh grade; and Charlene Youk and Ronald Post from the sixth grade.

Recent new car deliveries by the Paul Seifert Motor Company include a Chevrolet fleetline aero sedan to Alden Slusser; a Chevrolet stylemaster town sedan to Floyd Siebert; a Chevrolet 1-ton pickup to Adolph Woerz; and a Buick super sedan to Jonah Seifert, not John Seifert as reported a week or two ago.

P.M. Beach, president of the Badger Lumber Company, Inc., and A.T. Seavers, general manager, Kansas City, made a flying visit to Marion Tuesday morning. They came especially to look over the fine new improvements at the Marion yard, and commented very favorably on the work being done here.
