If anybody in the community wants to climb the flag pole in front of the court house he can earn a nice piece of extra money. The flag rope is caught in the pulley and despite all efforts, the flag now flying at the top of the standard cannot be moved. Janitor Harms is very much concerned about it and would greatly appreciate any help.

Merchants who are participating in the style show to be held as part of the Spring Trades Show March 16 met on Friday with the committee from the Chamber of Commerce in charge of arrangements. Along with the best in the "New Look," some specialty numbers will be featured. Mrs. Ethel Gardner Dale, who is experienced in professional style shows and stage presentations of other kinds, is heading the committee.

Miss Karen Brodhead celebrated her 11th birthday last Thursday evening with a dinner followed by a line party to the show. The list of invited guests included Nancy Burkholder, Nancy Allen, Patricia Kruse, Diana Herbert, Janet Holub, Charlene Youk, Virginia Price, Marilyn Reh, Marlys Rupp and Molly Brodhead.

Vernon Regier is now employed as a salesman at Clark's Home and Auto Supply store, manager Harold Keazer announced this week.

If you are old enough to remember World War I, you'll never believe it, but 12 men of James William Miesse Post No. 22 have actually held membership in that post for 30 consecutive years. Those 30 members, who received awards at the last Legion meeting, are Cecil Bruner, W.R. Carpenter, B.C. Johnston, Earl L. Kreuter, Chas. J. Mehl, M.J. Petersen, Ollie Wight, A.L. Kirchner, Alex Case, and Lou P. Richter.

Dan Brodhead and J.B. Miesse entertained at a Valentine party Saturday night at the Brodhead home. Their guests were Sarabel Wolf, Clair Hyde, Patricia Henry, Mary Margaret Hannaford, Marilyn Richmond, Alice Ward, Juanita Ford, Dennis Richards, Billy McKibbin, Johnny Newcomer, Teddy Heath and Eugene Christensen.
