Dates selected for Uncle Ezra's Barn Dance are April 10 and 11. The home talent show will be sponsored by the Kiwanis Club and directed by Mrs. T.B. Matlock.

Marion and Peabody A and B teams will determine grade school championship on the local court tonight (Thursday). Marion A squad boys include Dale Ecker, Don Ecker, Bruner, Richmond, Roberts, Richards, Moulton, McKibbin, Grimes, Muse, Hollar, and Skibbe. Peabody A squad includes Johnston, Windsor, Dyck, Yakel, Heath, Bundy, Schelske, Ubben, Pierce, Kirkpatrick, Neufeld, Neuhauser, and Fisher.

Mr. and Mrs. Clair Hawkins of Tampa announce the engagement of their daughter, Lorene Louise, to Harlan W. Scheibe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Scheibe of Waterville.

Members of the 1947 Marion High School graduating class elected to the National Honor Society are Sylvia Stika and Rose Marie Avery, named in their junior year. Selected this week were Jean Elaine Case, Clyde Hiebert, and Janice Socolofsky.

Margie Ann Bernhardt celebrated her seventh birthday Feb. 16 with a party from 3 to 5 p.m. Her guests included Carmen Siebert, Vicki Black, Jeanette Russell, Billy Herbert, Judy Coons, Connie Long, Zona Elaine Kelsey, and Mary Lou Conyers.

Wanda Ireland, Loyette Hollar, Georgia Christensen, Dean Hanson, and Elton Petersen went out to the Druse home at Quarry Sunday afternoon to call on Jim Druse and go horseback riding.

Donald Joseph Westerhaus, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Westerhaus, was baptized Sunday at St. Patrick's church in Florence.
