Sgt. Kenneth Anderson, who failed to return from a mission over Austria May 10, is a prisoner of war in Germany, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Anderson of Mountain View, California, were notified Tuesday. Kenneth, 21, was a radioman and gunner aboard a bomber stationed in Italy.

Kaw Theatre, in the interest of stimulating bond sales will stage a premiere of "See Here, Private Hargrove" Friday evening, July 6. Admission to the premiere will be by the presentation of a receipt showing the purchase of a bond July 5 and 6.

Mr. and Mrs. Anton Libal, who live a mile south and a mile west of Pilsen, had 150 laying hens stolen from the chicken house Saturday.

Five Brownies and 13 Girl Scouts of Marion will go to Camp Mary Dell on the grounds of the Brown Memorial Foundation at Abilene for two camping periods. Brownies going June 25 for one week are Patricia Henry, Sarabel Wolf, Juanita Ford, Mary Margaret Hannaford, and Karen Brodhead. Girl Scouts who will attend from July 9 to 16 are Carol Creek, Eilene Hansen, Janice Meisner, Treva Kelsey, Joyce Keazer, Jeaneen Brose, Roberta Newsom, Patricia Brose, Patsy Harris, Ann Burkholder, Ruth Byram, Donna Hobein, and Dawna Summervill.

The office force of the Marion Record-Review had a picnic at the Marion County Lake Friday evening. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Claud Dixon and Patsy, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sawatsky and Gaila, Wharton Hoch and Dick, Mrs. Nettie Williams, Mrs. Paul Williams Jr., Mrs. Curtis Langley and Charlotte, Wanda Williams, Mr. and Mrs. John Riddle, Don Schlotz, Bill Griggs, Mrs. Josie Williams, and Mrs. Clyde Edmonds and Clydeen.

A group of young people gathered at the Wren Schoolhouse Friday evening to organize a 4-H club. Officers elected were Colleen Vogel, Loretta Stika, Alta Stenzel, and Sylvia Stika. Others members were Gladys Eitzen, Kenneth Klein, Nancy Allen, Nadine Hett, Irvin Eitzen, Roger Hett, Wayne Klein, Donna Ehrlich, Dale Weyand, and Morris Lee Ehrlich.
