A recommendation has been made by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers of the War Department that four reservoirs be constructed in the upper Grand (Neosho) River basin in Kansas at Council Grove, Marion, Cedar Point and Strawn. This report now goes to the Board of Engineers for Rivers and Harbors, a permanent body sitting at Washington, D.C. After a review by that body such reports will then be submitted to Congress.

Miss Vogel's cakewalk Monday evening at Quarry School was quite a success. There was a good crowd present and everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun. Miss Violet Krispense was first in the contest for the prettiest girl, Fred Boettcher won the prize for guessing on a jar of beans, and Miss Doris Hutchens' name was lucky in the drawing.
