Starting this week, the Marion High School journalism class will renew publication of the "Warrior's Hatchet," weekly mimeographed paper for the school. Jeanne Carpenter has been named editor, with Mary Louise Tibbetts as assistant. Plans call for publication on each Friday for the remainder of the school year.

Mrs. Henry Holub entertained the girls of the fourth grade at a party January 30 in celebration of Janet Lee's 10th birthday. The group included Charlene Youk, Jeannine Williamson, Marilyn Reh, Pearl Ann Seibel, LaVona Weathers, Lois Schlotthauer, Ginger Price and Carol Ann Hett. Diana Herbert from the fifth grade also was a guest.

Gene Knackstedt, who has been employed at Marion Creamery for the past 10 years, has purchased a pasteurizer and ice cream plant at Sedan, Kansas, which is now in operation.

Mr. and Mrs. I.R. Gerstenkorn announce the marriage of their daughter, Peggy Lou, to Mr. Jack Summervill at 2 p.m. January 25 at the Methodist church.

Patricia Brose was guest of honor at a dinner Jan. 21 in celebration of her birthday. Each guest received a corsage as a favor. Those invited were Ann Burkholder, Donna Hobein, Loyette Hollar, Patsy Harris, Betty Williams and Mary Louise Tibbetts.

A new club, recently organized and as yet unnamed, met for their second meeting Jan. 28 at the home of Ruth Elaine Kreuter. Guests were Mrs. Billie Lee Wright, Mrs. Bob Ecker, Mrs. Don Hollar, Mrs. Arnold Schwemmer, Mrs. Bud Ensminger, Mrs. Lonnie Tidwell and Misses Mary Ray and Barbara Lea Knight.
