Relatives of Capt. Cecil Meierhoff, the flyer who fought with England before the United States came into the war, have been notified that the flyer has been missing in action in the Pacific Theater since July 22, 1945.

While entering the Aulne siding near midnight Tuesday, the Rock Island Rocket plowed into a freight train, derailing both trains. Fortunately no one was hurt, but property damage is high. Traffic resumed Wednesday a.m.

The miniature electric train built by W.J. Haas and sons as a hobby will be on exhibit in the Kaw Theatre lobby Wednesday and Thursday. The exhibit is in connection with a short being shown at the theatre of the world's finest miniature train. The main feature is Diamond Horseshoe.

A most successful banquet celebrated the Community Guild's 25th anniversary Tuesday evening at the Methodist Church. Mrs. William Burkholder presented "A Sentimental Journey," with the assistance of charter members Eldena Williamson Willey, Audrey Higgins Carpenter, Clara Duncan, Jewell Amick, Lillian Parker Pierce and Edna Frazer Shahan.

The young people of the Emmanuel Baptist Church enjoyed a party at the skating rink Tuesday evening. Out of town guests were Bob Wiebe A/S, Lt. and Mrs. Marion Mehlinger, and Ira Penner who is in the Navy.

Orlie Billings, Marion pioneer, will speak at the park Sept. 20 at the annual Old Settlers' Picnic. Window displays will feature souvenirs from World War II, many of which have been sent by overseas veterans, in addition to pioneer relics.
