The Music Man nominated for 10 Jester awards years ago
Marion High School's musical cast and crew learned Monday they had been nominated for 10 Jester awards for their fall production of "The Music Man."
Nominations include outstanding leading male performer (Michael Brookens), outstanding supporting male performer (Jordan Timm), outstanding cameo performance (Ryan Nelson), outstanding production number (Shipoopi), outstanding orchestra, outstanding direction (Janet Killough), outstanding choreography (Jeff Moler), outstanding musical direction (Kevin Moler), outstanding costumes (Cathy Whitaker), and the most prestigious award of all, outstanding overall production.
Those nominated for leading male performer and outstanding production will perform the night of the ceremony.
A Jester ceremony will be held May 27 at Century II in Wichita. The ceremony will take place in Mary Jane Teall Theatre. The Jester awards are sponsored by Music Theatre of Wichita.
