A. Wegerer, D. Salsbury are wed at Pilsen church

Andrea Marie Wegerer and Drew Edwin Salsbury were married Aug. 13, 2005, at Holy Family Parish, Pilsen, with Father Stephen Gronert of Wichita as officiant at the two o'clock Mass.

The bride is the daughter of Louis and Judith Wegerer of Marion. Pauline Wegerer of Marion is the bride's grandmother.

Parents of the groom are David and Denise Salsbury of Muncie, Ind. Donald and Geri Muncy of Eudora are the groom's grandparents.

Jessie Salsbury of Lawrence, the groom's sister-in-law, was lector.

Servers were Tyler Klenda and Cole Svoboda, both of Lincolnville.

Vocalist Mary Griffith of Marion and organist Molly Meyers of Manhattan performed traditional hymns and an original piece written by a friend of the couple.

Gift bearers were parents of the couple.

Escorted down the aisle by her father, the bride wore a satin wedding gown by Ginza. The dress was princess cut with a V-front and halter neck. The bodice was accented with pearls, bugle beads, and embroidery. The skirt featured a shear pattern and the chapel-length train was enhanced with embroidery and pearls. A fingertip-length net veil with pencil edge trim accented the gown.

She carried a hand-tied bouquet of sterling silver, maaike and yellow roses, purple alstroemeria, lavender stock, white lisianthus, and seeded eucalyptus.

The bride's sister, Allison Wegerer of Colby, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cary Weimer of Marysville, Marla Lohmann of Evanston, Ill., and Carmelita Goossen of Hillsboro.

They wore strapless lavender floor-length gowns accented with tiny rhinestones. They carried bouquets of maaike roses, white alstroemeria, purple-edged lisianthus, mint green pixie carnations, and purple wax flowers.

Donald Salsbury of Lawrence served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Josh Fike and Matt Pool, both of Lawrence, and Brad Carpenter of Manhattan.

Guests were seated by the bride's cousins, Matt Wegerer of Kansas City, Mo., and Steve Wegerer of Colwich and the groom's cousins, Drake Muncy of Rossville and Dustyn Muncy of Lawrence.

Guest book attendants were Brandy Bruna of Manhattan and Jenny Lundgren of Marion.

A reception, buffet dinner, and dance followed the ceremony at Marion City Building.

Steffanie Smith of Marion and Mandy Kern of Hiawatha were in charge of gifts.

Cake servers were the bride's aunt, Susan Cooper of Marion, bride's cousin, Christina Cooper of Marion, and Grace Berry of Topeka and Amanda Jantz of Kansas City, Mo.

The bride is a graduate of Marion High School and Kansas State University. She currently is employed as a horticultural therapist within St. Luke's Health System, Kansas City, Mo.

Her husband is a graduate of Free State High School, Lawrence, and Kansas State University. He currently is employed at Alex R. Masson's Greenhouse in Linwood.

Following a wedding trip to Florida, the couple lives in Kansas City, Mo.

Rehearsal dinner

Parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner Friday night at Country Dreams Bed and Breakfast, rural Marion.
