Accidents

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Casynda L. Redling, 24, 1423 Chisholm Trail, Hillsboro, was westbound on 140th just east of K-15 at 3:20 p.m. Jan. 23. The driver swerved her 1992 Honda Accord to avoid hitting a dog, lost control of the vehicle, and entered the north ditch, overturning one time. Redling was injured but did not require transport, states Undersheriff Randal Brazil.

Robert W. Siemens, 65, Sedgwick, was eastbound on 290th just west of Nighthawk at 3:06 p.m. Jan. 23. Siemens' 2001 Dodge Caravan struck a cement bridge and overturned. Greg Holub of Lost Springs, was a witness to the accident. Undersheriff Brazil states Siemens was injured but did not require transport.

Amanda Sue Hein, 23, 333 South Third, Marion, was northbound on Sunflower just south of 170th at 6:45 p.m. Jan. 26. A deer entered the roadway from the west ditch. Hein, driving a 1999 Plymouth Voyager, was unable to avoid hitting the deer. Passengers were Alexandria N. Finnley, 7, and Kadyn D. Hein, 2, both of the home. Sergeant Jeff Soyez reports no one was injured.
