Accidents

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

David E. Beckner, 59, 607 North Olive, Peabody, was westbound on U.S.-50 at milepost 289 at 8:07 p.m. April 23. A deer came from the north ditch and was struck by his 1995 Dodge pickup. Deputy Larry Starkey states he was not injured.

Ethan R. Good, 27, 2155 160th, Marion, was westbound on U.S.-56 just west of Nighthawk at 6 a.m. May 21. When Good reached for a water bottle, his 1994 Honda Civic went into the north ditch. Good overcorrected and went into the south ditch. He was not injured, reports Deputy Duane McCarty.

Darlene M. Hubbard, 40, 207 Lombard, Lincolnville, was eastbound on Third Street in Lincolnville at 1:40 p.m. May 21. Samantha Jo Alvarez, 15, 120 South Kansas, Lincolnville, was northbound on Kansas Street at an uncontrolled intersection. Neither driver yielded and the vehicles collided. Hubbard was driving a 2000 Dodge Stratus registered to Greg Hubbard of the home. Trichia Pauls, 20, of the home, was a passenger in the Hubbard vehicle. Alvarez was driving a 2002 Dodge Neon registered to Rebecca Alvarez of the home. Rebecca Alvarez, 33, was a passenger in the vehicle. Undersheriff Randal Brazil reports there were no injuries.

Nicholas A. Mason, 19, Newton, was southbound on Jade at 180th at 5:55 a.m. May 24. Jeffery J. Mayfield, 31, 400 West Arbor, Hillsboro, was westbound. Mason's 1993 Ford Escort collided with Mayfield's 2003 Ford pickup. Kevin M. Mason, 23, of the home was a passenger in the Mason vehicle. He was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Mayfield's vehicle is registered to Ag Service Inc., 1830 Kanza, Hillsboro. Deputy Starkey reports there were no other injuries.
