Accidents

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Jacob M. Taylor, 19, 129 1/2 Main, #2, Marion, was crossing 190th just east of Pawnee at 4 p.m. Sept. 8. A westbound vehicle struck Taylor as he was crossing the roadway. Taylor was injured but did not require transport, states Deputy Rollin Schmidt.

Judd D. Gulick, 20, Eureka, was northbound on Holly just south of 190th at 10:56 a.m. Sept. 7. Isaac W. Harper, 23, Scammon, also was northbound on Holly following Gulick. Gulick, driving a 1994 Freightliner, stopped at a stop sign. Harper, driving a 1999 Ford F-250, rear ended Gulick. Jose A. Garcia, infant, Eureka, was a passenger in the Harper vehicle which is registered to Tim's Used Cars, Eureka. Gulick's vehicle is registered to CDT Sales and Leasing, Inc., Eureka. There were no injuries, reports Deputy Schmidt.

Jenna E. Estes, 20, Potwin, was northbound on Old Mill just south of 60th at 6:30 a.m. Sept. 14. A deer entered the roadway and was struck by Estes' 1998 Mercury Tracer. Deputy Schmidt states Estes was not injured.

Randi L. Barnett, 22, Manhattan, was southbound on U.S.-56/77 just north of K-150 at 10:30 p.m. Sept. 16. His 2005 Nissan Altima struck a racoon crossing the road. Barnett was not injured, reports Undersheriff Randal Brazil.
