Accidents
The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:
Amber R. Knust, 22, 1905 30th, Peabody, was northbound on U.S.-56 just north of 230th at 6:30 p.m. March 18. A deer ran into the passenger side of Knust's 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Deputy Josh Whitwell states Knust was not injured.
Ferne F. Hiebert, 77, 305 S. Lincoln Street, Hillsboro, was backing a 1997 Toyota Camry from a parking space on Grand Street near Main Street at 11:30 a.m. March 17. Sherry Koehn, 54, 335 230th, Lehigh, parked her 2002 Chevrolet Impala in a space next to the Hiebert vehicle. The Hiebert vehicle struck the right back bumper of the Impala. Hillsboro Police Officer Matt Vogt reported there were no injuries and damages were estimated to be less than $1,000.
