Accidents

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Michael A. Allen 47, 405 South Washington, Hillsboro, was westbound on 190th just east of Holly at 12:35 p.m. July 11. Terri B. Allen, 38, 405 South Washington, Hillsboro, was following M. Allen's 1985 Buick Century. T. Allen passed M. Allen and slowed down in an attempt to stop him. M. Allen went to pass T. Allen as she turned in front of him. M. Allen's vehicle struck T. Allen's 1998 Ford Windstar and M. Allen's vehicle went into the ditch. M. Allen was taken by Marion County EMS (Hillsboro) to Hillsboro Community Medical Center, reports Deputy Mike Vineski.

Douglas J. Lind, 40, 921 Melvin, Marion, was eastbound on 190th just east of Pawnee at 8:45 p.m. June 27. Lind's 1995 Ford Ranger struck a deer that was crossing the roadway. Lind was not injured, reports Sergeant Jeff Soyez.

Gary D. Spohn, 61, 3267 Old Mill Rd., Tampa, was southbound on Wagonwheel at 190th at 8 a.m. July 11. Donald R. Burnett, 49, 1673 Yarrow, Marion, was westbound on 190th. Both vehicle entered the intersection and collided. Spohn was driving a 2001 Chevrolet pickup and Burnett was driving a 2001 Ford pickup. Passenger in the Spohn vehicle was Carole Spohn, 60, of the home. Both Gary and Carole Spohn were taken by Marion County EMS (Marion) to St. Luke Hospital. Charles Goering, 2385 190th, Marion, was the owner of a fence and two fence posts that were damaged at the accident, reports Deputy Vineski.
