Accidents investigated
The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:
Ronald A. Sondergard, 53, 1974 500 Ave., Herington, was eastbound on 290th just west of Mustang at 5:45 p.m. Dec. 26 when a deer entered the roadway from the south ditch. Sondergard's 1993 Ford Tempo struck the deer. Sondergard was not injured, reports Deputy Josh Whitwell.
Laverne L. Lueker, 59, 819 North C, Herington, was eastbound on U.S.-56 just west of Remington at 5:40 p.m. Dec. 25. A deer came out of the north ditch and was struck by Lueker's 2000 Ford F-150. Janice L. Lueker, 60, of the home was a passenger in the vehicle. No one was injured, reports Undersheriff Randal Brazil.
