Accidents reported

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

A 2002 Pontiac Grand Am, owned by Selma M. Ingram, 200 E. Crane, Lost Springs, was legally parked in a drive of a residence on Chicago Street at 8 p.m. Jan. 26, when a vehicle struck the right front side of the Pontiac and left the scene. Marion County Sheriff Deputy Matt Vogt reported damages were more than $1,000.

Donald L. Witt, 65, 310 Lincoln, Tampa, was westbound on 290th Road near Sunflower in a 1986 Chevrolet S-10 pickup at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 5, when he lost control on the icy road, slid sideways, entered a north ditch, and overturned. There were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages, reported Marion County Sheriff Deputy Duane McCarty.

Kipton R. Pohlman, 39, 303 N. Olive, Peabody, was westbound on U.S.-50 near Nighthawk in a 2007 Mazda at 5:20 a.m. Feb. 14, when a deer came from a south ditch and was struck. Marion County Sheriff Deputy Larry Starkey reported the driver was not injured and more than $1,000 in damages.

Dezri D. Vannest, 39, Newton, was northbound on K-15, 1 1/4 mile north of Goessel, in a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser at 4:12 p.m. Feb. 20, when the vehicle went off the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a tree. The driver was transported by LifeTeam helicopter to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. Kansas Highway Patrol investigated the accident.

Lichelle K. Large, 19, Hayes Center, Neb., was westbound on 190th Road near Holly in a 2003 Pontiac passenger car at 3:50 p.m. Feb. 23, when she lost control on the icy and slushy roadway and went into a north ditch. There were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages, reported Deputy McCarty.

Bruce L. Lolling, 35, Haysville, was southbound on K-15 near 230th Road in a 2003 Dodge Ram pickup at 5:40 p.m. Feb. 23, when he lost control on the icy roadway, entered a west ditch, and struck a headstone at the Johannestal Cemetery. Amanda Lolling, 11, of the same address, was a passenger. Marion County Undersheriff Randal Brazil reported there were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages.
