Accidents reported

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Kami D. Froese, 37, Canton, was eastbound on 120th Road near Meridian in a 2000 Ford Windstar van at 7:45 a.m. March 1 when she lost control of the vehicle because of ice on the roadway. The van entered a north ditch and landed in a wheat field. Kellen L. Froese, 9, and Layci K. Froese, 6, both of the same address as the driver, were passengers. Marion County Undersheriff Randal Brazil reported there were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages.

William T. Edmunds Jr., 49, 122 Billings, Marion, was northbound on U.S.-77 near milepost 89 in a 1996 Chevrolet Lumina at 11:15 p.m. March 5 when a deer came from a west ditch and hit the front and left side of the vehicle. There were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages, reported Marion County Sheriff Deputy Duane McCarty.

Michael Brendemuehl, 22, Westerville, Ohio, was backing from a parking stall on the east side of Madison, Hillsboro, in a 1996 Volkswagen Jetta at 10 p.m. March 6 when the vehicle was struck by a northbound 2006 Ford Fusion driven by Keith R. Harder, 60, 951 190th, Hillsboro. The front of the Ford struck the left side of the Volkswagen. Hillsboro Police Officer David Funk reported there were no injuries and less than $1,000 in damages.
