Accidents reported
The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:
Alexander K. Jost, 18, 2168 K-15, Hillsboro, was driving a 2001 Ford F-150 pickup at 12:30 p.m. April 1, when he struck an ordering station at a business at 700 Western Heights, Hillsboro. Hillsboro Assistant Police Chief Jessey Hiebert reported the vehicle was registered to Keith Jost of the same address. There were no injuries and damages to the truck and structure were not listed.
Esther M. Schafers, 76, 426 N. Cedar, Marion, was backing from a driveway on Cedar Street near Hudson in a 2000 Chrysler Town & Country van at 10:20 a.m. March 30, and struck a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pickup owned by Matthew H. Classen, 538 N. Freeborn, Marion, that was obstructing the driveway. JayDee Schafers, 13, 813 E. Weldon, Marion, was a passenger in the van, reported Marion Police Chief Josh Whitwell. No one was injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.
