Accidents reported
The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:
Nicholas J. Lelle, 32, Vassar, was westbound on K-150 near Xavier Road in a 2007 Chevrolet Impala at 9:08 p.m. April 4, when a deer came from a south ditch and was struck. The vehicle was registered to Donlen Trust of the same address. The driver was not injured, reported Marion County Sheriff Deputy Larry Starkey. There was more than $1,000 in damages.
Justin G. Widell, 23, 107 W. Third, Florence, was westbound on 150th Road near Timber in a 2002 Ford Mustang at 11:15 p.m. April 6, when a deer came from a ditch and onto the road. The driver swerved to miss the deer and struck a guardrail, reported Marion County Sheriff Deputy. Widell was transported by Florence EMS to St. Luke Hospital, Marion.
