Accidents reported
The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:
Mollie Y. Partridge, 23, 206 S. Olive, Peabody, was west on 60th near Nighthawk Road in a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup at 10:15 a.m. April 1, and had completed a three-point turn when she lost control of the vehicle, entered a south ditch and struck a tree. The vehicle was registered to Warren D. Partridge of the same address. Jacob E. Collier, 3, of the same address, was a passenger. Marion County Sheriff Deputy Jim Philpott reported there were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages.
Gary A. Carlson, 66, Bristol, S.D., was eastbound on U.S.-50 west of U.S.-77 near Florence in a 2000 Peterbilt semi at 6:40 p.m. April 17 when his trailer crossed the centerline and struck the power unit on the left side of a 2003 International 9400 semi driven by Daniel M. Suarez, 30, Milan, Tenn. The Peterbilt was registered to Harold Orr Trucking of Bristol, S.D., and the International was registered to A-One Cartage of Atwood, Tenn. There were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages, reported Marion County Undersheriff Randal Brazil.
