Accidents reported

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Bradley J. Klenda, 17, 321 W. Santa Fe, Marion, was southbound on Remington Road near 240th in a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville at 9:30 p.m. May 5, when a deer came from an east ditch and was struck. Marion County Sheriff Deputy Larry Starkey reported the vehicle was registered to Edwin Klenda, 1671 300th, Lincolnville. Camille Christensen, 16, 505 N. Lincoln, Marion, was a passenger. There were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages.

Tony W. Winter, 40, 319 Grant, Marion, was westbound on 120th Road near Eagle in a 2001 Chevrolet K-1500 pickup at 3:55 a.m. May 10, when a deer came from a south ditch and was struck. There were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages, reported Marion County Sheriff Deputy Duane McCarty.

A parked vehicle, owned by Vera L. Dirks, 211 S. Ash Street, Apt. C, Hillsboro, was struck on the passenger side in a hit-and-run accident that occurred at 10:30 a.m. May 11. The incident occurred in a parking lot on the west side of Hillsboro Community Medical Center on Ash Street. Hillsboro Police Officer Brad Richards reported there was more than $1,000 in damages.
