Accidents reported

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Scott Heidebrecht, 40, 219 N. Third, Marion, was southbound on Sunflower Road near 150th in a 1998 Ford at 9:55 p.m. June 9, when a deer came from an east ditch. The driver was unable to avoid hitting the deer. Marion County Sheriff Sergeant Jeff Soyez reported there were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages.

Alva R. Myers, 70, Wichita, was southbound on U.S.-56/77 near 340th in a 2000 Chevrolet pickup at 9 p.m. June 10, when a deer came from a west ditch and was struck. Joan Myers, 66, of the same address, was a passenger. There were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages, reported Sergeant Soyez.

Philip M. Horst, 52, Lancaster, Penn., was northbound on K-15 near 120th in a 2006 Chrysler passenger car at 9:25 p.m. June 10, when a deer came from an east ditch and was struck. Sandy Horst, 52, of the same address, and Helen Schmidt, 82, 306 Meadow Lane, Goessel, were passengers. The vehicle was registered to Flacks Enterprises LTD Thrifty Car of Kansas City, Mo. Sergeant Soyez reported there were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages.
