Accidents reported

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Holly N. Isaac, 17, 810 300th Avenue, Durham, was eastbound on 340th Road near Diamond in a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier at 10:35 p.m. June 12, when a deer came from a south ditch and was struck. Marion County Sheriff Deputy Travis Wilson reported the driver was not injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.

Alan W. Regier, 50, 216 E. Commercial, Goessel, was leaving a store parking lot in Marion, no address was given on the report, in a 1999 Freightliner truck at 11:15 a.m. June 14, and struck a parked car, a 1997 Chrysler Concord, owned by Elmer E. Schaffer, 401 N. Third, Marion. The truck was owned by Frostbite Ice Company, 113 S. Second, Marion. There were no injuries and no dollar amount was indicated on the report by Marion County Sheriff Deputy Duane McCarty.

Howard E. Randolph, 64, Oklahoma City, Okla., was turning east on Santa Fe Street from Fourth Street, Marion, in a 2004 Volvo truck at 8:45 a.m. June 17, when he struck a legally parked 2000 Pontiac Grand Am owned by Todd A. Guetersloh, 115 N. Fourth, Marion. The truck's trailer struck the car's mirror and broke it, reported Deputy McCarty. The truck was registered to VFS Leasing, Greensboro, S.C. The damage estimate was listed as less than $1,000.

Todd R. Redger, 27, 412 E. First, Hillsboro, was westbound on 120th Road near Chisholm Trail in a 1993 Ford Tempo at 6:15 a.m. June 18, when he entered a north ditch and struck a mailbox. The car was registered to Melissa Redger of the same address. Marion County Sheriff Lee Becker reported the driver was not injured and there was less than $1,000 in damages.

Chad A. Chrisjohn, 34, 309 Walnut, Marion, was northbound on Turkey Creek Road near 170th in a 2007 Ford F-15 pickup at 10 p.m. June 21, and failed to turn at a T-intersection. The vehicle struck the gate of a private property. The driver was not injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages, reported Marion County Sheriff's Department.

An unknown vehicle reportedly backed into the driver's rear corner of a 2000 Mercury Sable LS owned by Roger and Helen Hagen, 506 S. Main, Hillsboro, that was legally parked in the 400 block of West D Street, Hillsboro. The incident was reported at 8:22 p.m. June 25, reported Hillsboro Police Officer Chad Richards.

Daniel Jay Yoder, 33, Newton, was traveling west in the 200 block of South Date Street, Hillsboro, turned north into an alley, and struck a utility wire in a 2007 Kenworth truck at 5 p.m. June 27. The vehicle was registered to Kropf Lumber Inc. of Hesston. Hillsboro Police Officer Steven Janzen reported there were no injuries.
